We are located in the small village of Farran, Co. Cork. Farran is on the western suburbs of Cork, approx 4 miles from the town of Ballincollig. It is just off the main N22 Route from Cork to Killarney.
It is owned and run by Breffni Hyde who has 30 years teaching experience. There are five Montessori teachers Breffni Hyde , Carol Lucey, Claire Lucey, Sarah Kavanagh, Caitriona O Donoghue.
The school was based in Farran Community Hall for four years. In September 2008 we moved to a purpose-built architect designed school on half-acre site (just across the road from the Community Hall). The school has two large classrooms, each room measuring 80 square metres. We also have a spacious outdoor play area, as well as a childrens' garden. The outdoor area overlooks the scenic Bride Valley.
We cater for children from 3 years old to five years old.
The goal of Farran Montessori School is to respect each child as an individual and to recognise the child's natural ability to learn. The objective of Farran Montessori School is to provide the child with daily experiences through an ordered environment of responsible freedom.
Morning class 9am-12.30pm
Afternoon class 1.00-4.00pm
